Teacher Terry Farriss  I have been teaching here at Howard for 18yrs 
I have worked in the chattanooga media market for over 29yrs
I have to say with all the events that I've when to,tragedies i have witness, an the  amazing  people that i have had the opportunity  to meet and interview in my career as a videographer. Teaching is the most challenging and most rewarding career of all, I love being a Howard tiger.

 cosmetology teacher I have been a hairstylist over 20 years and an educator over 5. Before becoming the cosmetology teacher at Howard I was a recurring Sub at Chattanooga State. I am the owner of Trend Setta’s Beauty Salon located in East Ridge on Ringgold Rd. I have a passion for young people and training them to possess a skill that has many avenues to successful careers in cosmetology. It is my goal to in still in my students life skills, ethics, hairstyling and professionalism as it pertains to the Cosmetology field.

 Mr. Hardin  I originally from Nashville, TN begin his work here at The Howard School in August 2013. He is a 2007 graduate of Tuskegee University and holds a Bachelor of Architecture Degree. Upon completion of his studies at Tuskegee University, Mr. Hardin accepted an Architectural Intern position at a local firm here in Chattanooga, TN. Under a supervising architect, Mr. Hardin gained valuable experience that advanced his career through the completion of The National Council of Architectural Registration Board's (NCARB) Architectural Experience Program (AXP), formerly the Intern Development Program (IDP). This program prepares candidates for a successful career in architecture.  

Chef Carter  I taught culinary arts for 17 years prior to comming to howard. Owned three different restaurants in the past. Was on The great Food Truck Race season 5 on Food Network with 2 of my children. Have been in the food service industry for 27 years.

Chic Coleman

Chic Coleman was born and raised in St. Croix, U.S.V.I. She obtained her B.S.W. at the Catholic University of Puerto Rico, and later pursued graduate studies at NYU where she earned her M.A. in Family and Consumer Science. A high point of her career was being recognized in Essence Magazine for her work as the Director for the only home for neglected and abused children in the U.S. Virgin Islands, The Queen Louise Home.   Her 25 years of teaching experience includes the public school system, homeschooling, and private schools. She presently holds a Florida and Tennessee Professional Teacher Certificate. She is fluent in Spanish and certified to teach the language in the Adventist school system.  Recently, Ms. Coleman obtained her Marketing endorsement and now teaches one of Howard High newest classes, Hospitality and Tourism.   In her spare time she enjoys wedding and party planning and a variety of other event planning activities. Her husband of 25 years passed away in July of 2006, leaving her a single parent of 2 children, Christopher and Alissa.  Christopher is married and presently serving in the U.S. navy in their Nuclear Engineering Program.  Alissa is in her second year at UTC  studying Mechanical Engineering.
