Future Ready Students

Erlanger Institute of Healthcare and Innovation

ERLANGER
The Erlanger Institute of Healthcare and Innovation at The Howard School extends our students’ knowledge about the healthcare industry through real-life experiences curated by Erlanger Health System. Students in this Institute have a choice of two different medical pathways: Diagnostic Medicine and Medical Therapeutics.

In Diagnostic Medicine, our students explore the diseases and disorders of the body and work with diagnostic equipment that assist in diagnosing diseases.
In Medical Therapeutics, our students explore the notion of disease treatment, healing, and patient care.

Students will take Health Sciences courses that prepare them for industry certifications like OSHA 10, Stop the Bleed, and Basic Life Support, and work their way to courses and exams that will prepare them for becoming Certified EKG Technicians, Certified Medical Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Sterile Processing Technicians.  In conjunction with healthcare courses and clinicals, senior students will have the opportunity to enroll in college preparatory classes leading toward collegiate and career pathways.
