Teaching ESOL is a dream come true. I get to be a part of my students' journey, and it is so exciting to watch their "AHA!" moments. Those are the most incredible moments of my days.

Other than being a teacher, I am also a wife to a wonderful and thoughtful man! Mr. Rose and I live in North Chattanooga. We once lived in Atlanta, but now we live very close to our families. I get to see my little brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews grow up.  My 9-year-old sister journals about our dogs, Mickey and Benson, more than anything. She is an animal lover just like me. When she was little, she walked around crying all night, because she was so sad that E.T. phoned home and left Earth. I am sure she would even take him as her rescue pet.

When I am not spending time with my family, I am traveling all over the world. I am a strong believer that experience is life's greatest teacher, and I want to experience it all! Mr. Rose & I have a goal of traveling to all 50 states together, and we are currently at 24. We have about 80 more years to complete that goal, but I have been to 48 states without him. My favorite place to visit is a place I call the homeland, but most people call it Vietnam. I grew up in Cleveland, Tennessee, but my father is from Cà Mau, Vietnam. It is hard to put into words how I feel about it. I can say I wish Vietnam was closer to Tennessee.
