Hello My Name Is...
Dr. Sarah Stumper
This year marks my third year in Chattanooga and at Howard. I had the opportunity to start my career at Howard during the 2018-2019 school year at Howard while serving as a Project Inspire teacher resident and am grateful to have remained in the science department since.
Prior to moving to Chattanooga in 2018, I spent almost a decade in Boston earning my BS in Biochemistry at Stonehill College and my PhD in Biochemistry & Biophysics at Brandeis University. At Brandeis, I worked with Dr. Jeff Gelles while studying the regulation of the biological process transcription in bacteria using single-molecule fluorescence microscopy.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time outdoors and with my dogs. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to know more!
